Today was the final day of the registers annual great bike ride across Iowa! It started off fast! I was to the first town 22 miles in just over 1 hour and 20 minutes of ride time. Columbus junction was the first town and also the meet up town for the final day. In Columbus junction I had a bowl of pasta with veggies and a burrito. The burrito gave me jet propulsion throughout the rest of the day! The next town was a whopping 1.6 miles, and NO I did not miss it. I stopped and took a couple photos of a cool mustang! After that, the next town was Leeds. I got off my bike at a rough railroad track and walked it across. I did stop in Leeds to use the bathroom and then headed on to muscatine. I got to muscatine at roughly 12pm on the dot. When I got there, I took my riding shoes off because i struggled with a hot spot on my feet due to shoes inserts being worn out from miles of use and abuse! I got a lot of video today of people riding in formation to the dip sight in the Mississippi. That gives me chills to watch those! When the team got in to the meet up point. We rallied at an American legion parking lot so we could roll to the river together! We got a couple team photos then we went to the bus to head back to ankeny. When we got to ankeny, we unloaded the truck and went our separate ways.
