Hopelessly ... | Jack
Oriana stared at the latest test results from a stress test of the terraforming engine. It had gone well, the parts were all holding up, and technically everything was doing exactly what it was supposed to do. But even with that progress, they were ages away from making the improvements. They were ages away from having a fully functional terraforming engine period, let alone a more efficient, highly specialized and only theoretically model.
She sighed and glanced at her contact list along the side of her screen. Jack was awake and she wanted to message her. The data would hold, but she hadn’t talked to Jack except for cursory messages since their date on the fourteenth. And she found herself missing the biotic more and more with each passing day.
A quick tap of her finger brought up the messenger program and she picked Jack’s name off the list. It pinged repeatedly as it waited for Jack to answer the call.
