Australia to Increase Salary Thresholds for Employer-Sponsored Visas from 1 July 2026
Australia continues to strengthen its skilled migration framework. Updated salary thresholds for employer-sponsored visas will impact applicants and employers from 1 July 2026, ensuring fair wages and alignment with market salary standards.
Key highlights:
• Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT): AUD 76,515
• Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT): AUD 76,515
• Specialist Skills Income Threshold (SSIT): AUD 141,210
These thresholds apply to major employer-sponsored visas such as Subclass 482, 186, and 494, and employers must offer either the threshold salary or the Annual Market Salary Rate (AMSR)—whichever is higher.
