[3-13-2022] After the short-block rebuild, ZGMF-X13A's engine finally hit the 3000 mile mark (thus officially ending the Break-In Period). Minimal issues thus far so I'm looking forward to future road trips. Also, no fear of going into boost. I'll have to schedule an oil change this coming weekend before going to DC (not driving this time. I'll be flying). [8-24-2021] After the Check Engine light last week, I took it to AutoZone to get one of them free diagnostics. If I recall correctly, only one code pulled up (I don't remember it off the top of my head). The print-out I got suggested to replace my thermostat (which lines up with my temp gauge not reaching operating temperatures). So I picked up an OEM Thermostat. Figured while I was at it, I'd get an OEM Thermostat Housing replacement as well as a lower radiator hose since they're connected to each other (I had my upper radiator hose replaced a few months ago. With how old that one was, I can imagine the lower one being jank also). Honestly, I would probably do this myself but since I don't have a proper place to do the work, I'll have to find a shop that can do it soon and cheap. [7-16-2021] I got really tired of the yellow tinge my headlights give so I ordered some Sylvania ZXE bulbs for my low beans (top pic) and high beams (bottom pic). The passenger side is the old bulbs and the driver side is the new bulbs. Maybe my eyes are just dumb but I can barely tell a difference. I mean, it's less yellow to me but just barely. Either way, I'm hoping I'll make night driving a little more visible (gonna do that here in a few minutes). One thing is for sure, however: I'm eventually gonna have to upgrade to HID or LED. Or shell out the mun-mun for JDM goodness or a full retrofit. I'm not confident in wiring and splicing into harnesses, though. [1-25-2021] The Wiring Harnesses (i88+i85+14pin) and ASWC-1 came in the mail today (the JDM Dash Kit and JDM Hazard Switched came in a while ago). All that's left is to decide on a head unit & subwoofer and I'll finally have a decent sound system in ZGMF-X13A. I was originally looking at a combo package from a local shop but after comparing different subs, my plan of attack has changed. Either way, I'm pretty gosh-darn excited about it.
