Oswego Presbyterian Church plans to collect Christmas Styrofoam from 9 a.m. to noon on January 4, 2025, in the church parking lot at 25 Highway 1976. The collected foam will be sent to Dart Inc.'s recycling center. After professional processing, the collected foam can be traded and converted into cash, becoming a popular recycled material in the market. The first step in the processing is the compression of the Styrofoam compactor. As part of the foam recycling solution, the Styrofoam compactor is mainly used to compact the loose foam to 1/50 of its original volume, effectively improving transportation efficiency. The Styrofoam recycling equipment achieves foam volume reduction through physical compression of the screw, which is suitable for processing foam with a high water content, such as fish boxes. However, the screw compaction technology usually causes the foam to melt excessively during the compression process.
