Hello everyone! Since Spring is only around the corner and daylight savings time is upon us, it’s time to think about brighter days ahead.  I’m quite sure nobody wants to hear the word “snow” and we are all hoping the nice weather is here to stay awhile. 

It’s about that time to go into our wardrobes and change out the heavy, dark, warm colors for something bright and fun. These are the top 10 colors for Spring 2016 from the Pantone Fashion Color Report. There are still some pastels like last year with the colors Rose Quartz, Limpet Shell, Lilac Gray, Iced Coffee and Serenity. This spring there are more eye popping colors on the scene like Peach Echo, Snorkel Blue, Buttercup, Fiesta, and Green Flash. So this season you can go with pastels or go with bright colors. You can also mix and match for more variety. 

So when you go shopping for a new wardrobe, keep these colors in mind. You will see these heavily in stores along with bright floral prints.

Over the last couple of years the natural makeup look has been trending. Well it looks like this trend is going to continue for 2016. Expect to see the natural makeup with bright eyeliners in colors like yellow, orange, pink, and red to give the eyes a pop.

The natural makeup look is my favorite because it looks simplistic. It’s not so drastic that you no longer recognize yourself. Now don’t get me wrong, I love playing in variety of colors when it comes to makeup, but most of the time for my everyday looks I opt for nude tones.

The look in this picture was inspired by Ariana Grande’s makeup she wore on The Jimmy Kemmel Show recently.

For this look I used:

Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Express in Brunette for my brows

Base eyeshadow matching my skin tone all over the lids

Golden copper eyeshadow with shimmer up to the creases of the eyes

NYX Two Timer Kohl Pencil/Felt Tip Eye Liner in Jet Black

Two coats of L’Oreal Miss Manga Rock Blackest Black masacra

Lightly brushed Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color in Golden Copper

NYX Comestics Wicked Lippie in Betrayal to give the lips a pop

Less is definitely more because you still bring out your natural features with a little bit of a pop, and still come out looking radiant.
