Rather short because while I started the month with a ton of energy, work sapped me of that quickly. I spent a solid two weeks either sick or stressed relentlessly by my job. Not much got done during this time sadly.
Still, as I shared earlier this month:
Contego's second challenge main line is almost done. I just need to wrap up one or two more smaller scenes in it and then tackle the tasks before that is finished. Much progress compared to what I had originally.
Resisco has had me restructure it once or twice, fiddling with how I am going to handle certain variables. I am also debating adding a "difficulty" option where one option gives warnings and notifs of affection changes, but I haven't fully committed yet. Still have a few things to tackle with the personality system, but I am learning a lot while working on it.
I am exploring other engines outside of Ren'py. Currently I am trying to figure out Twine. We shall see how successful I am. Right now I am trying to figure out how to organize a Twine file and get the mechanics I need done.
Fahima got a slight redesign in my head, and I've figured out how to tighten that storyline a bit more narratively to help keep it from ballooning too much.
Anya is live and ready to show you everything. Watch her strip, dance, and perform exclusive shows just for you. Interact in real-time and make your fantasies come true.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Everyone! Time to do a round-up of May. Pretty calm month, so this will probably be short.
The most recent thing I did was clear out a good chunk of old asks to get the inbox cleaned up. I still have a few more to go through, but I'm making room for some future inbox plans. You can find most of the old asks under #old ask shindig. I deleted some that were repetitive, made me uncomfortable, or just felt kind of meandering.
Let's get onto the game news!
The Woeful Rose & The Bitter Crow
Has seen it's 1.1 release! All of the remaining common route CGs have been added including the combat CGs. With this, WRBC has finally been officially completed. All CGs are attainable, and all endings are attainable as well.
Sacrarium Contego
Alas, both of the artists for Contego have been having a rough time with their health lately. I'm mostly focused on them getting better than anything else, so I don't have too much to share at this time. I am debating potentially putting up something for SunNoFes 2026, but I haven't decided yet. We shall see. I make no promises. I've started writing the second section in earnest (Contego is a special kind of hell with its scheduling stuff in game, so it's a lot harder to sit down and just write compared to the others in this series).
Sacrarium Resisco
I have attained an artist for our dear Amare! Their sprites should hopefully begin production in June, but not right now as their artist is wrapping up some real life things (and real life always comes first!). I'm very excited to see what's going to come of that in the future.
I also got briefly possessed and began fidgeting with the opening of Resisco and actually got a visual thing going! Ended up staying up until almost midnight because of how possessed by creativity it got. Still needs further refinement, but I'm excited.
I have also finally figured out what I'm going to do with Amare's system. I'm calling it the Locked Meandering system personally, and I'm going to start outlining in earnest with that in mind. I have many scrapped outlines at this point. I've also consolidated all Fatebringer personality types down to 9 and determined how to condense them into more manageable things to work with.
The Grinning Spider & The Lone Hound
I keep going back and forth on whether or not I want to practice with the Interactive Fiction format. I'm tempted because it'd be a new style to try out, but I also worry that switching the format for the final game might impact it negatively. The big thing that using an IF format would allow is that I could include more characters and locations compared to doing a VN format (where those often come with expensive assets). I've gotta determine how I want it to go. Currently leaning towards making it a tight VN story rather than the larger world romp one outline suggests. Still determining things.
Conclusion
So all-in-all, a silently productive month! Thank you all so much for your continued interest and support in the series!
I finally return, and this time with some good news.
The updated demo for The Woeful Rose & The Bitter Crow is live!
Hello everyone! It has been a while hasn't it? I'm very proud to announce that after a lot of hard work from some wonderful artists, The Woe
This updated demo contains a whole new introduction to the story, the codex system, and four CGs to unlock. It does not include the latter 2/3rds of the story, but I hope to have those released by spring. I'm currently waiting on 4 assets, but I've decided to release the game in Spring regardless of that asset completion. Worst case scenario, they can always be patched in later!
I sincerely hope the new demo isn't too buggy. My test runs showed it to be stable, but we all know Sac games are held together by bubble gum and a dream. You will find PC, Mac, and Android versions ready at the above link.
For all the lore fanatics, you'll be happy to know that I didn't lock the codex (though forgive any typos in it. I genuinely didn't want to torture another person reading through all of those entries), so feel free to read to your heart's content.
In other news, Necare has an official look! It's been an absolute delight watching @brbbringingnachos slowly bring her to life, and I find myself ever excited to see how things will continue to develop on that front.
If all goes well, I hope to at least have the first third of Necare's story available in the Summer of 2026, so wish us luck!
I hope to get back on the ball with making monthly update posts. The end of the year got more than a little crazy, so I definitely fell off. I apologize for that. With everything going on in the U.S. and the world at large, the combined weight of that + work + other IRL issues made for a stressful time. I wasn't able to get as much done as I wanted to. Still, I can see a path forward, and I intend to follow it.
But speaking on the issues at large. I do want to take the time to remind everyone:
If you are MAGA, do not touch my games. You are unwelcome. I do not want you or your kind near me or my community.
If you are a bigot, do not touch my games. You are unwelcome. I do not want you or your kind near me or my community.
If you support the current American Administrations horrific attacks on local communities, do not touch my games. You are unwelcome. I do not want you or your kind near me or my community.
While I doubt that the above was in question, I want to make my stance clear. Everyone, please stay safe and healthy as things progress. We can make it through this!
I didn't get to get this up yesterday because I had to have a small medical thing attended to, and that ate up most of my afternoon once I got off of work.
Here is what I have so far.
TLDR: Sac progress is progressing. Project Den line has been established.
Sacrarium Contego
I have been slowly chunking away at Contego's second challenge. Part of the problem is figuring out where to insert flirtation lines and making sure I'm tracking memory flags at the same time. One thing I've done to make life easier is made the threshold way bigger this time around, so I'm not having to micromanage each response like I did with Pario.
I'm nearing the end of Challenge 2 Chapter 7. After that, I just have to actually bulk up Chapter 8 & 9, and then do the Tasks before writing up the last Chapter of Challenge 2. Once I do this, I believe I might release a version on itch (password protected) as a form of beta of sorts. It'll be mostly open since I'll put the password on the blog here, but I don't have the game accessible unless you've got the password. Note that this version of the game may not have illustrations/sprites/etc. It would mostly be done to reduce the amount of system related bugs.
As I have a holiday this Friday, I plan on making this weekend "WRITE WRITE WRITE" Weekend. Fingers crossed I knock out a good chunk of Contego. I have the energy at least.
Sacrarium Resisco
As I anticipated, I've already reduced Amare's chapter length from 7 to 4 with the finale. Initially I was going to do a 7 Sins, 7 Virtues angle, but just writing through 1_1 has been nightmarish. I need to further refine the personality system's interaction with the overarching narrative. I have a current idea I'm going to test in the outline to see if that flows well. I think it will, but I want to double check.
I have gotten all of the BGs for Resisco cobbled together through photobashing and fotosketcher. So that's resolved at least.
Project Den
Now that I know which version of the story I'm tackling I'll be able to start properly getting things fleshed out. Remember that this is something I'll be working on during downtime while I'm in cubicle hell, so don't expect too many updates for a while. When I'm back at home, I'm usually working on Sac.
Still, I do look forward to these characters since two of them are actually some of my oldest characters in terms of how long versions of them have been with me. They're actually a bit older than Amare in that regard, so I'm happy.
Now to do a lot of research that might put me on a watchlist.
