Alex had sworn himself that he wouldn't look at the numbers on his wrist again. He didn't want things to be forced, didn't want the numbers to control his life, didn't want them to give them much power. But of course all of these things were little white lies he kept telling himself. He'd been counting down the days just like everyone else had done it. He had watched people fall in love, a pout on his lips cause his soulmate still seemed so far away. But even his day had come and even though his jacket hid the numbers, they were all that Alex could think about. He could almost hear the seconds passing and then...everything turned blue. One moment he'd been walking down the street, the rain hitting his face and the next moment his eyes were drawn to blue ones, deeper as the ocean. The tiny figure that had run into him, let his umbrella drop as he looked up to Alex. And they both knew what had just happened. Alex swallowed hard, his eyes still focused on the most beautiful face he'd ever seen. It was funny, he'd never believed that there was such a thing as perfect, but now he was looking at the definition of it. A tiny smile appeared on his lips as he finally whispered, "Your eyes are my favourite colour."
