Diane Kruger, Blake Lively Celebrate Chanel's 'Bijoux de Diamants' Collection

Chanel hosted a party to celebrate the 80th anniversary of their “Bijoux de Diamants” collection, and all of fashion's heavy hitters came out to toast the iconic brand.

In honor of the anniversary of the collection, which was originally created by Gabrielle Chanel in 1932, Chanel designed 80 new high-jewelry pieces based on the symbols that inspired Mademoiselle Chanel’s imagination. Constellations of white, yellow and black diamonds, blue and pink sapphires and pearls in the form of comets, stars, suns, fringes, fountains, ribbons and feathers make up the statement pieces.

The lion, Mademoiselle Chanel's favorite animal as she was a Leo, is the newest symbol added to the collection.

The stars came out in droves to fete the fine jewelry, most dressed in Chanel couture and ready-to-wear designs, paired with sparkly Chanel jewels.

Diane Kruger was an obvious presence, proving her style icon status as the first to score a look from the Chanel Spring 2013 collection. Rose Byrne was divine in a black sleeveless Chanel Spring 2011 Couture dress while Alexa Chung opted for a delicate cream design with a voluminous skirt and floral embroidery from the Chanel Resort 2013 collection.

The newly married Blake Lively was stunning in silver-and-rose pink dress with jewel accents from the Fall 2012 Couture collection and little Elle Fanning chose a black velvet dress with a grey collar, also from the Fall 2012 Couture line.
