Honestly given the situation of the au it felt like it would make more sense for Damian to feel the way he does.Â
He doesn’t interact with other people and doesn’t desire doing it either, but Zane did.  Â
Damian doesn’t have an other family/friends besides Zane
Damian doesn’t want to create a family/make new friends, but  Zane does.
Damian spends most of his time time reading about the world, where as Zane was going out and living in it.
Damian is alive and Zane is not.
It’s one of those things where Damian realizes it would have been better if they could have switched places, because ZANE has so much more going for him.
