Thereâs no one step fits all approach to managing procrastination. Itâs going to happen, many many many times - whether it be in the context of study or work.Â
Sometimes, I think rest - removing yourself from the situation works, particularly if itâs a short term issue. Finding new ways to do the same old shit, essentially.Â
If it is a long term issue - something that keeps recurring for years after years, I really think itâs time to take a step back and consider your options. Perhaps the mere act of procrastination is hinting at something deeper - (and no, I donât mean that âitâs telling me Iâm A LAZY FOOL GDIâ) - a career change, a field change, disinterest in what youâre doing, dissatisfaction/ distraction in other areas of your life.Â
And in the end, managing procrastination is largely dealing with the guilt that comes with procrastination.Â
So to that end, let me tell you: itâs normal to procrastinate sometimes.
Weâre only human.
Human.
Not robots.Â
