Money! Working part-time is a great opportunity to earn some extra cash, meaning you can enjoy yourself and experience the cultural aspects of Perth in your time off. When on a student visa, you are allowed to work up to 40 hours in a fortnight. Working while abroad is not only a great way to earn money, but a means for you to make unforgettable connections, and learn important life-skills. You might think that Perth seems quiet at a glance, but don’t be fooled! Perth is host to many art, music, and food and drink festivals. In fact, there is some sort of event on almost every weekend. Visit art galleries, or pay a visit to the newly opened museum, Boola Bardip (‘many stories’ in Noongar). There are also many bars, restaurants, and cafés to choose from when if you feel like exquisite coffee, lounging listening to live music, or watching sporting events.
