in my mind I’m physically back at uni... it’s 10 a.m. and I’ve just finished my first class for the day. right now it’s a free period and I’m in the library, peacefully reading. and I’m waiting for noon to arrive so that my friends and I could go have a nice lunch at that quiet little cafeteria just behind our college building in a bit. I take in the comforting silence around me, the low humming of the air conditioning unit is quite soothing. the girl sitting in front of me continuously typing on her laptop. I go back to reading my book, looking forward to the train ride home later afternoon.
after some trimming, I’ve finally reduced my theatre and feminism essay to 6 pages. I swear I always struggle with page limits because there’s always so much to say and I could never get the limit right the first time and unconsciously exceed it. just a few more revisions before I finally submit this! so excited to call it a night lol
hi good morning/afternoon/evening wherever you are! hope everyone’s doing well. tomorrow’s going to be a busy day for me, there’s lots to do and it scares me but we’re pushing through like a proper ~adult~ am I right. here comes the occasional to-do list:

summer studying challenge | week 1/8
0713 - what are your plans for this summer?
in general, try to relax more !
read as much as i can
prepare to start uni in september!!!
0714 - have your plans changed at all because of the pandemic?
yes 😔 there are a few things i usually do in the summer, and i cant do any of those. also, i’d be preparing to move for uni, but im not going to the school i wanted to until january
0715 - do you have a specific goal for this summer?
study japanese ! im taking a class in september and i want to get a base of vocab
also, read more classics. despite being a dark academia blog, i actually havent read that many, so im finally taking all of my free time to do so
0716 - do you have a lot of work to do for school or university or your job this summer?
no work, but i am preparing to start ! i would like to get a job soon but its a bit difficult right now -w-
0717 - what is the most important task that you need to complete this summer?
organize my finances + start learning to adult
0718 - what do you usually do during the summer?
my family usually goes camping quite a bit + theres a few places i’ll go (downtown, this one beach town, my friends’ houses, etc), as while as longing for academic structure to return to me 😔

pretty much the same as above ! going places w family, hanging w friends, the like

turned 18 !!
decided to do the reading rush! im taking the opportunity to get through my classics list. my tbr is:
frankenstein (audiobook) -> started today, v good so far
pride & prejudice (audio)
the strange case of dr jekyll and mr hyde (audio)
the cruel prince ; holly black (phys.)
infinity son ; adam silvera (phys.)
cried about haikyuu!! with my friends -w-
watched 君の名和 finally,,, its so good
started putting together my august spreads !!!! theyre vv cute + i will be posting them on my instagram in the coming weeks !
admittedly i’ve been slacking on my japanese lately – too much passive learning, not enough active ! i am hoping to change that for the last week and a half of the challenge !!!
ok so i'm going to the US tomorrow and i'll be in maryland for a few days, then chesapeake bay and then finally new york right at the end so if any of you study bugs are anywhere there just hmu let's do this also, more studyblr pics and asks are coming soon, i just haven't been studying after my exams because i don't need to anymore and it feels so good! hope you're all enjoying your summers! xxx e
