Hey y’all! I’ve had this blog for a hot second and finally decided to do an introduction!

about me: 

My name is Allyson

I’m 17 years old 

I’m in my 1st year of undergrad and actually graduated high school a year early

I’ve moved around a lot my whole life resulting in me going to 8 different schools and never being able to live in one place for too long!

I have two dogs and one a cat, all of which I love dearly

I struggle with depression and anxiety but I do my best to persevere!

I play saxophone, ukulele, some piano, and I’m learning the guitar

As you may have guessed from my url and banner, I’m gay. While I don’t know my sexuality for sure, I know for a fact that I like girls

my interests

I’ve loved languages ever since I was a little girl, so right now I’m studying Japanese and French

I love psychology and i’m considering getting a degree in it! I really want to live Japan and help the mental health reform.

Doing makeup is one of my hobbies, but I’m not very good at it on other people lol

I love reading and writing!

My favorite shows are American Horror Story and Stranger Things

why make a studyblr?

I feel like this blog is sort of like a project and I really do love starting projects. Only problem is, I never finish them. While I don’t see this blog coming to an end any time soon, I want to keep consistent with it

The studyblr community is so amazing and welcoming so I want to be a part of it!

I had a really rough time in high school and didn’t do well academically, so I really want to switch that around in college

I eventually want to get a PhD in Japanese 

After graduating and getting my BA, I want to do the JET Program for a few years

I’d ask Misha Collins how he has managed to look at all the hardships that he has suffered and turned it into opportunities and lessons.

1) What is your motivation for studying? To be able to be do well in my chosen field in the future and so that I can be of a high enough standard so that I can work with my brother after I’ve graduated.

2) Do you write to-do list each day?

Yep :) But not a super-detailed one.

3) How do you eliminate time wasters?

I just leave them in my bedroom now that I study in my brother’s room.

4) Do you have some stress-relief techniques?

If I’m too stressed, I would normally just leave everything for maybe an hour and do something that I enjoy doing.

5) Library research or digital research?

Digital research.

6) Favorite food while studying?

Any kind of fruit.

7) Do you study by yourself or in group?

Mostly by myself, but I do enjoy studying in a group. The feel of having people working diligently around me makes me feel pumped to study too.

Religiously.

9) Your way to take a break?

Watch some videos, read manga, play The Sims.

10) Do you use color coding while studying?

Nope. I just grab whatever colour is the closest to me.
