Hey.
Itās been a while, I know. Howās things?
To be completely honest, Iām uncertain as to what I want to do with this platform anymore.
I was a student when I started this blog. I look back at the list of things that I wanted to do, and the things that worried me.
And now?Ā
What happens you get thrust from the proverbial womb of academia to theĀ rat race hell that is the āreal worldā?Ā
Well, in many ways, a lot.Ā
And yet, my insecurities remain a familiar shadow.
TL;DR Iām now @byelaw on wordpress, and @lawsbye on insta and twitter.
Come and say hi, and let me know how youāre going.
Hi everyone! My name is Elle, and this is my new studyblr account! When I was younger, I attempted to make a studyblr under @writerandscientist under the name Em, but that kind of failed HAHAHAHAHA. So here I am, back again with a fresh start with my new studyblr, studypurple!
Here are some fun facts about me:
Iām 15 years old, entering grade 11 in high school.
I go to a science high school in the Philippines, meaning that i am required to take a science-related course in the future
My main classes for grade 11 are biology and chemistry.
I love reading books and writing, and Iām currently reading Everyday by David Levithan.
I also love music, and Iām currently into musicals (chat me if you wanna talk about heathers, be more chill, newsies, mamma mia, into the woods and more!)
Iām currently watching b99, the flash and the good place (chat me if you wanna talk about those too!) i also watched the librarians, santa clarita diet, trinkets and a series of unfortunate events hehehe
some studyblrs i admire include:
@studyquill huhu i love you so much! i love watching your youtube channel and your bujo is soooo pretty <3

@fuckstudy u are such a mood and your posts are soooo helpful huhu
@areistotle iāve been following you for soooo long and your masterposts have some of the best tips everrr!!!!
@emmastudies u put so much effort into your blog and i love u and the phone n desktop wallpapers you make every month! u are so amazing!!
@studyign ur youtube videos are soooo aesthetic !! i watch your vids all the time for inspiration hehe thank you so much for them <3

Anyway, thatās all for now. I hope to make more friends here <3 thank you for reading this hehehe

I get good grades, I suck at Algebra and Bio, but I just study harder on those subjects. History and English, on the other hand, have always been just one of the things i'm good at. I don't study, and I ace every test. It's the school work that gets me. I'm always trying to do good in those other classes, I forget about those two. Now I have 2 D's in classes I should be getting A's in. Any advice on how to bring them up? 1 has hw every night, and the other we rarely do anything Part 1
(part 2) I've only forgotten to turn in a few assignments that i'm unable to make up. It's just hard to focus on classes i'm good at, you know? I just don't want to fail because I got a big head. I mean, I'm proud of myself, because like I said, I study a lot better in the classes that I NEED to. I have a B+ in each of those classes. (Which is a big improvement from last year's confused-as-fudge child) But I just don't have time for English and History, and all I see is "oh study more"
Hmmmm, a bit of a bitter pill to swallow, but are you really sure youāre good at a subject that youāre getting Ds in? Or is that just your ego? š¤ You can be naturally gifted in a certain area, but if youāre not paying attention in class or revising it, youāll still perform badly. Itās like the saying goes,Ā
hard work beats talent when talent doesnāt work hard
Honestly itās all about balance, not about studying more. Like I mentioned before, I used to be really good at understanding concepts in biology and agriculture but had absolutely no talent in English, so I spent about 3 times more time on English than I did in other subjects --Ā
Pseudomaths, but 3 times 0 is 0. My point is thereās no use in studying excessively in 1 subject and not doing anything for another subject, because you end up shooting yourself in the foot like youāve done now, and get a B+ in Algebra/Biology and Ds in History/English.Ā
Itās much better if you take a bit off time off Algebra/Biology and get B- in them and As in History/English.Ā
Use a diary if youāre forgetting to turn in assignments - youāre not paying attention in History/English if you donāt even remember when assignments are due. Let the diary do the work for you instead.Ā
If one of the subjects has homework every night then you need to schedule the time into your study sessions. Iād advise you to do it as soon as you get home and then forget about it if you hate thinking about it so much.Ā
Anyway, buck up and hope that helps! ^_^
