going out to a bookstore or library and spending the afternoon binge reading old favorites together

It was a weekday during school that we decided to meet. The library, 7 o’clock. You wanted help studying for our science course. I knew you were too smart to really need my help. I was glowing inside: knowing that what you really wanted was me, my attention. Before I left home, I saw a rabbit trapped in my back yard by my fence. It would come in and out of a little hole under one of the untreated panels, but now the snow was too high for it to get back out. I was almost late because I went outside and shoveled a little hole for the rabbit to escape. I had to ask my mom for a ride to the library, but so did you. We were young enough to be embarrassed of our seeming lack of independence, but also just old enough to assert our ability to meet. When we sat down, it was on the corner of a couch. You seemed too shy to start the conversation, so I tried my best. In person, it’s a lot more difficult than over text message. There’s no time to think. But that’s what we learned. We didn’t need time to think. After a few minutes, the conversation flowed perfectly and kept going until the library closed. I remember the way your eyes looked at me and the way your hair was set. You had done it on purpose, probably for the second time that day, and I was too sophomoric to notice. When we left, I noticed the same dilemma as when we arrived. As soon as the threshold of the library was broken, we were awkward teenagers looking for our parents’ headlights again. A quick smile, a “see you tomorrow”, and we went our separate ways. Since our relationship didn’t last long, I’m baffled by how many times I lay awake thinking of that night. I’m not sure if you think of me often, but I am sure you remember our quiet winter meeting. It makes me feel like my rabbit. You snowed so hard on my soul that I might never find my little escape path.

I still think one of my biggest obsessions is Stationary, i love buying cute stationary and decorating my notebooks and journals and!!! It kinda motivates me to try and keep studying
