Friday night...
...will be spent trying to plow through t cell differentiation.  We had an activity today (called âQuality Olympicsâ) with the nursing students.  For a team work activity, we had to build a contraption to prevent an egg from breaking when we dropped it from the top of a ladder.  It was actually pretty fun. The other med students in my group said how great of a study break this was.  Iâm not kidding when I say that the nursing students kind of stared oddly at us and asked if we were serious, if this was really âour break.â  It was funny to watch their disbelieved faces as we explained that with a test block ending in 2 weeks, we have to study ALL weekend, about 8-10 hours a day.  I still donât think they believe us.
Iâve gotten used to constant work, something that felt so impossible during the first few weeks of school.  Itâs refreshing, and a needed reality check, when âother peopleâ remind me that this is indeed unusual, and impressive, and give me sympathetic stares as I head back to the study rooms at 4 on a Friday.
