The tulip, the Anatolian kilim, and the national flag: 3 icons of Turkish identity, refined into a single visual system.

This book translates Ottoman order and vernacular geometry into a contemporary design language. Its cover adopts the pattern of a contemporary carpet, embedding the title within a patterned field derived from the flag’s palette and symbols—part textile, part emblem. Inside, the layout is deliberately restrained. In the opening page of each chapter, the Turkish and English texts sit in measured balance. Chapters are punctuated by black dividers for quick navigation, and footnotes remain visible yet unobtrusive. Images, graphs and tables are proportioned with care, sustaining a steady, continuous reading rhythm.

“SPACECRAFTED” operates as a precise double reading. It suggests forward motion—spacecraft—and, equally, the making of space through craft. Here, contemporary Thai practice is framed as a negotiation between invention and tradition.

The logotype draws on Buckminster Fuller's Synergetics (1975)., translating universal geometries into a disciplined graphic system. This is paired with Kriab mirror—leaded glass set by hand—linking scientific abstraction with vernacular ornament.

Colour follows a similar logic. Palettes are derived from each project, then negotiated into a collective whole—refined, merged, resolved.

Typography mixes 8-bit inflections with vernacular forms and monospaced clarity. A tag system and diagrams organise the works, mapping relationships while keeping navigation immediate.

This book compiles media keywords within a stripped-back, functional form. The cover uses monospace typography, borrowing from coding logic to reflect a digital-native subject.

The layout makes structure visible. Content is organised by category, with group numbering, adjacent keywords and local contents guiding navigation. References and supporting data are systematised for quick retrieval, while a full index enables precise search.

An exposed spine binding allows the book to open flat—designed less as an object to browse than a tool to use.

Marking the 90th anniversary of June 24, 1932

On June 24, 1932, in the early hours of dawn, Phraya Phahon Phonphayuhasena, representing the People’s Party, declared the end of absolute monarchy and the birth of a constitutional regime at Dusit Palace. This moment was marked by the installation of the “People’s Party Plaque,” also known as the “Origin of the Constitution Plaque.” Inscribed with the words: “Here on June 24, 1932, at dawn, the People’s Party proclaimed a constitution for the country's advancement,” the plaque embodied the radical shift in Thai governance.
