Brett Amory’s “It’s Wonderful Your Demons Came Today” at Jonathan LeVine Projects + Studio Visit.
Opening on Friday, September 8th, 2017 at Jonathan LeVine Projects in Jersey City, New Jersey is artist Brett Amory’s sensational solo exhibition entitled “It’s Wonderful Your Demons Came Today.”
A drastic departure from his previous works, “It’s Wonderful Your Demons Came Today,” showcases Amory’s personal visual takes on philosophy, comparative mythology and religion, and the collective unconscious.
Photographer Shaun Roberts visited Amory in his studio as he prepared artwork for the exhibition. You can see the incredible full studio visit below:

Visited Seed Archives - the studio of photographer Christian Cassiel, in March.
Seed is such a rich depository of African culture, arts and artefacts, and Chris is the warmest and most welcoming person. You enter and it smells like incense and loved books, you’re greeted with tea, and even if you don’t know how—you will be invited to play dominoes.
Not only is Christian an excellent photographer (like, really, and I’m pleased to have worked with him!), he is an astounding archivist and free spirit. Creating a world with Seed that anyone can access. If you’re fascinated by African culture, or would enjoy knowing more about your roots, I’d suggest organising a visit or at the very least following along for the journey.
