January 16 2018: Dear Lightbulbs. Because I know you do a great deal to help brighten my life I feel I can turn to you with a matter that has caused me much personal frustration and even more wasted time. For several weeks now I have counted how many of you have over burdened yourself and petered out. I want to cooperate. However when I finally replace the exact number of you needed it would be appreciated if more of you didn’t decide to become exhausted and run out of steam while I am out and before the time I get back to restore those of you that have faded and burned out. At this rate I am falling behind in my responsibilities and rely on you to provide illumination onto this monochromatic environment I call home. I think better notification would be the best solution for all concerned. I know myself and those who visit would sincerely appreciate being able to use your purpose of illumination more efficiently. I look forward to your response of longer lasting blaze in the future so I can better understand as to what to expect from your lack of persistence to go on or poor sense of humor.
