His Imperial Highness announced via his press office the engagement of his son Prince Mecca The Marquis of Doveport to Princess Amira The Princess Royal of Castile. Princess Amira is the younger sister of Prince Sebastian who is set to join the Imperial Family in just a months time when he marries Prince Mecca's cousin The Duchess of Kent.

The announcement confirmed that the Prince did receive permission from his grandfather, aunt and The Queen and Prince Consort of Castile before proposing. The Prince proposed with a 14 carat pearl set diamond on a rose gold band.

Empress Aurora and Princess Alexandra visited the new Lilanelona library today. The Lilanelona Memorial Library opened its doors today in what was at one time a 16th-century carriage station that was the final stop for many citizens coming from all corners of the Kingdom and later the Empire to begin a new life in the capital city. Later in the 19th century, the carriage house was expanded into a railway station, and the building was updated and expanded into its current configuration. The station was closed in the 1920s after the station was moved to the current downtown area where it remains to this day. The building has had many tenants throughout the years until it was bought 3 years ago by the Lilanelona Library Foundation and updating began.

Her Imperial Highness The Princess of Avalon in her capacity of Grand Master and current Regent created her daughter Her Imperial Highness The Duchess of Kent a Honorary Dame Grand Cross of the Most Honourable Order of the Night. The Most Honorable Order of the Night is the third highest order within the Empire, Her Imperial Highness is a Dame Grand Cross of the Order of St. Grace already, the palace announced that The Duchess will with time be inducted into the orders of the Rose and the Sun as 2nd in line to the throne and eventually Princess of Avalon and Empress.

Alongside the Duchess of Kent, Princess Amira was inducted into the Royal Order of St. Grace as a Dame Grand Cross and Prince Mecca was inducted as a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St. Grace as well.
