i want to make it into a fic but i just don't know that i ever will but imagine.
thanksgiving in the wherever Sky High takes place, somewhere in the USA. will's dad is estranged from his own dad for Reasons (headcanons mostly having to do with the pressure put on Steve by his dad as a kid actually don't make for particularly well-adjusted adults, who'd'a thunk. i headcanon the General as a hard-ass) so they do a quiet cozy thanksgiving on the day and then meet up with Josie's family on the weekend.
but Disaster Strikes and steve and josie have to leave will home alone on thanksgiving. which isn't that big of a deal, it's fine mom, really. (thanksgiving isn't really that important to will anyway)
but ever since will and warren have this baby steps friendship happening, josie talks to warren's mom sometimes. (i headcanon that steve stronghold and barron battle were childhood friends but that's a different post) so she texts Elise (for some reason when i made up Warren's family tree, i gave his mom's side a thing for E names. idk) and asks if will can come over to theirs for dinner. if Elise is even gonna be home. (Elise Peace is a terrible name actually why did i do that. fix it.) (why does josie text warren's mom and not layla's when layla and will are clearly way better friends than will and warren and surely layla's family sees will as family too? because strongpeace. otherwise i agree.)
so will is gonna eat frozen pizza and watch a cheesy horror movie when someone? is knocking on his door?? it's warren??? wtf??
and warren is like 'hurry up get on the bike i cant be gone long' (warren drives a motorcycle he fixed up himself i feel like no one has a problem with this)
and will is like...okay...sure...because he has no sense of self preservation. he goes.
thing about warren's mom's family is...it's huge. warren's mom has a big house and it's still crammed full of people. his grandmother was one of like eight siblings and they all had many children and the number of kids have dwindled with each generation but it's still a houseful and warren's job at family get-togethers? wrangling the kids.
there's an especially fiery six year-old named Antoinette (it's TONI! my name is TONI!") who apparently uses Warren like her own personal mode of transportation. her feet never touch the ground until it's time to eat. having a sticky, animated backpack at all times doesn't seem to bother warren. it's kind of adorable.
most of warren's family dont even notice will in the controlled chaos. they pass him food and flatware like he's always been there. it's halfway through dinner before any of the adults realize they're getting his name wrong (theyre all calling him something different)
