maeve  knew  she  was  a  capable  woman,  so  mending  her  own  clothes  couldn't  be  that  hard,  could  it  ?  they  were  always  sprouting  holes  (  and  she  swears  she  doesn't  know  how  ),  so  it  would  be  nice  to  just  be  able  to  FIX  IT  rather  than  having  to  buy  something  new.  “shit,”  she  mumbles,  bringing  her  pointer  finger  to  her  mouth  in  preparation  of  any  blood.  “do  you  know  how  to  do  this  without  prickin'  your  damn  finger  off  ?”

theodora  groans  as  her  ball  misses  the  table  completely  and  goes  out  of  bounds.  “there's  no  way–  my  paddle  must  be  DEFECTIVE  or  something.”  she  wasn't  always  a  sore  loser,  but  she  didn't  think  she  could  be  this  bad  at  something  that  looked  so  easy.  “i  think  i  need  to  ask  if  they  can  get  me  another  one.”

if  one  were  to  ask  atlas  about  his  personal  style  or  tastes,  he'd  simply  STAY  SILENT.  he  felt  he  was  the  most  boring  in  the  shephard  family,  and  everything  about  him  seemed  to  reflect  that.  it  didn't  stop  him  from  trying,  though,  to  develop  his  own  UNIQUE  taste.  he  reaches  for  the  set  in  front  of  him,  holding  it  up  so  the  person  next  to  him  could  get  a  good  look  at  it.  “what  do  you  think  ?  am  i  a  two  flamboyant  fishes  kissing  type  of  guy  ?”

“do  you  think  the  people  who  came  up  with  the  HOT  CHOCOLATE  BAR  idea  knew  they  were  giving  everyone  the  ability  to  make  their  own  weapon  ?”  she  pulls  out  the  candy  cane  she's  been  sucking  on  for  a  few  minutes,  revealing  it's  incredibly  sharp  point.  “i'm  about  to  shove  six  of  these  in  my  pocket for later.”

apollo  is  not  exactly  sure  what  he's  doing  here.  well,  he  knows  why  he's  at  the  event  itself,  however,  why  he's  at  the  hot  chocolate  bar  ?  THAT  PART  is  what  has  him  confused.  hasn't  had  a  hot  chocolate  since  before  he  was  a  teenager,  because  who  over  the  age  of  eleven  is  drinking  hot  chocolate  ?  well,  clearly  a  lot  of  people.  his  cup  is  just  for  show,  so  he  doesn't  look  out  of  place.  “you  really  into  all  this  christmas  stuff  ?”

was  it  particularly  cold  outside  ?  well,  no,  but  for  florida  it  was  a  bit  chilly.  still,  she  thought  a  cup  of  hot  chocolate  would  make  for  a  good  treat.  a  good  break  from  the  evening,  as  well.  she'd  really  been  trying  her  best  to  get  into  the  festivities.  “excuse  me,”  she  says  as  she  reaches  across  the  station,  reaching  for  the  marshmallows.  “uh,  your  cup.  it  looks  good  !  what  did  you,  uh,  what  did  you  put  in  yours  ?”
