"I told you, I'll be fine. You should worry about yourself." She's trying to dry off the best she can, wringing a startling volume of water from her hair.

The Mistwood was always a little, well, misty, but she didn't remember it being so wet. Isn't it just their luck, that they would be caught in the rain?

She turns around to find Eda offering a mug of something. "I... Thank you, Edalyn."

There is no protest, not even inspecting the drink before she takes a sip. Sure enough, it does make her feel warmer.

Luz had been hanging out at Eda’s place more lately. Being around her, after... well, everything back home... being around Eda became a safe space for Luz. And goodness knows Luz needed something like that right now.

She’d started keeping things at Eda’s place, too, for those times when she’d be visiting and not want to run to one of her many other lodging options to get something she needed. Things like a spare laptop charger, which she’d been digging around and searching for for the last... Luz had lost track. Maybe Eda’d done something with it.

    head snapping up and around, king was scurrying across the grass before he’d even really thought about it, bounding forward on all fours to reach the source of the laugh. as so it was only a matter of moments until he’d collided with long legs, clawed paws immediately clinging to the fabric of her leggings even as a wail left his mouth.

       “ eda! “ relief, shock, and excitement filled his voice, and he didn’t hesitate to dart towards the witch. his head was still spinning from recent events - and he’d barely had time to gather his thoughts before finding himself in this place. ( was it the human realm? it certainly wasn’t the boiling isles... he’d worry about that later. ) that sense of finally, something - someone - familiar intensified as he grabbed her- tightly, as if she’d be pulled away if he didn’t hold tight enough.

Luz had heard that Golden Ward was the place with all the fun stuff, and she figured she could check out a roller coaster or something and explore at the same time. 

(And maybe try and find a way back to the Boiling Isles, because Eda had to be worried about her by now...)

Imagine Luz’s surprise when she recognized a large mane of silver hair several yards away. “Eda...?” Luz’s voice was soft at first, unsure. Was it possible someone she knew also came to this strange new world?
