Prologue
You have somehow adjusted yourself a bit too well to the fact that your soul has suddenly been yeeted into the body of a nine-month-old child.
What's more? Turns out your father is none other than Ukai Keishin, one of the most underrated characters of your all time favourite anime Haikyuu.
Yes, you are baffled. One, coach Ukai actually has a wife. Two, he's your fricking father!
Your brain has been very busy devising ways to get him to take you to the practices. Other than getting used to the all-time hunger in your small body, you have been eavesdropping in on his and his wife's conversation, figuring out that the Spring Tournaments are the next big event from the storyline.
So, on the day of the Spring tournament, you are up early, eyebags and all because you didn't want to be asleep when Coach Ukai left.
"Come on, baby. I'm going to be late!" Coach Ukai tries to gently coax you. But your little hands wrap tighter around his neck, tiny legs waggling to get a good footing on his chest.
"Why don't you take her with you? She might enjoy the new scenery," your mom sweetly suggests. You turn your head to give her a grateful smile before tightly clamping back onto Coach Ukai's— your dad's neck.
He sighs, it's not like he isn't able to force your hands away from him. It's really the huge puppy eyes you are making at him. How can he say no when his baby is making such a sad, pleading face?
So he hums, leaning over to kiss your mom before grabbing the childseat for the truck. He buckles you in, booping your nose and smiling at your wince.
The ride is a blur as you sleep through the entire shaky ride, exhaustion from last night already creeping over you.
What wakes you up is a loud, energetic, and an extremely familiar voice yelling— "Oh! There's a baby in Coach's car!" Your eyes snap open as your dad's warm palms come around you, pulling you out of the car and into the sight of the people you had been anticipating seeing for so long now.
