okay, look here greyface: I don’t hate Colt.  yes, he shot my boyfriend, he creeps me the zarking hell out, and by all most accounts he’s very generally a terrible, terrible person.  yes, there are very, very few, very, very unlikely scenarios that would let me even consider forgiving him for shooting Ted.

I despise his actions and general awfulness.

but I don’t hate him.

all that said, I would never, ever, under any circumstances wish anything like that on anyone.  I don’t care who they are, no one deserves anything that.

Colt's strong and very loyal. We may bicker around often but I appreciate what he does. He's a wonderful friend.

how curious life is when disruption becomes ordinary, especially in a place like Night Vale. and Lucy was relieved to put that notion of everyday-disruption behind her. after helping Ted vanish, needing to vanish herself, the whole hooded figure business, and the various shenanigans involved with finally--finally--banishing Strex, she was very much looking forward to settling back into the routine that came with reclaiming her place behind the Dark Owl counter.

and the settling, initially, was going swimmingly, nothing beyond the ordinary. but it's curious indeed when disruption becomes routine.

Lucy happened to glance to the side as she unlocked the front door before opening one morning, and caught sight of something dark coming up the sidewalk. a few more paces and she could recognize the shape as the follow-up inspector from several months previous. that devil with whom she'd danced and who had necessitated her and Ted's vanishing from the grid.

The raven-haired female found it odd that someone had been expecting her. Okay so she found it more creepy but still.
