Growing up, the things that made me 'me' — my voice, my boundaries, the way I refused to shrink; were constantly pointed out as weaknesses. As things to fix or to hide.
I was told — keeping the peace matters more than speaking the truth. Just adjust. Just accommodate.
I was told — your sensitivity is your weakness. Toughen up or the world will eat you alive.
I was told — wanting more means you're ungrateful for what you already have.
I was told — this is just how things are. Who are you to think they could be different?
But I never believed that.
And then I came across something that put into words what I had always felt.
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. When a piece breaks, instead of discarding it or hiding the damage, they repair it with gold. The crack doesn't disappear. It becomes the most beautiful part of the piece.
That is what I believe about people.
The places where life broke you open — the losses, the moments you didn't fit, the parts of you that were never understood; those aren't things to overcome and forget. They are where your gold is.
This is why I do this work. And it is why I named it Kintsugi of the Soul.
If any part of this resonates — you are probably exactly who I made this for.
