#Repost @megeoneill (@get_repost) ・・・ Novel-length post alert (if you don’t read, you must at least double tap): Today, we launched @TheContributor Magazine, bought by our vendors for $2 and sold for $5, similar to our old model. But this time, we're featuring 32 pages of incredible local content and genuine storytelling of our city ... T'was FUN to put together. Since before I moved here, @thecontributor has offered a genuine opportunity for people on the streets to earn meaningful income, to work to grow their own businesses. It's allowed a community of people to participate financially in the growth of this city. It’s also allowed that same community to share their stories — with readers and with their customers within the relationships they build everyday. Everyone has a story. And when we listen to the stories that have shaped others lives, there's often more there that unites us than divides us. As an organization, we want to continue impacting our vendors financially. As journalists, we hope the new product discovers and amplifies new voices. We hope it encourages the people of Nashville to interact with new vendors, to talk to someone they might not have met otherwise, to hear and listen. It's a good motto to live by: remembering there's more to every story. They often say that comparison can be the thief of joy. That the opposite is gratefulness for what you have. That holds true on so many levels: personally, professionally, socially ... on Instagram. I honestly cannot compare the launch of this magazine to any project that I've ever been a part of. Gratefulness is listening to the stories within this organization and the people who make it whole. ✌🏼 . . . . #streetpaper #insp #vendor #homelessness #nonprofit #socialenterprise #streetmagazine #streetmagazines #branding #graphicdesign #graphics #advertising #socialgood #poverty #journalism
