streetlightarson replied to your post: “I know it’s stupid but I am always amazed when homosexuals misgender...”:
homosexuals can be some of the biggest homophobes on the planet. Especially cis white homosexuals.

13., 18., 29., and 49. :3
13: Name one movie that made you cry
The Amazing Spiderman 2
18: A random memory from you childhood
I remember painting the nails of my little brother and the boy who lived downstairs. They both wanted pink nails and showed them off at school, they were fucking so happy to have pink nails :D
29: What is a strange talent that you have?
I can flip my tongue so that the taste buds are are facing downwards
49: Where do you go when you’re sad?
My room. I don't like people seeing me sad because if they do, they start hugging me or saying things like "it's gonna be okay" and it makes me wanna push the off a cliff because it only makes me sadder to be comforted. If there's no one else at home I'll go hug our dog (she likes to sleep in the living room which is on the other end of the apartment)

It's a state vs. federal issue. Most pornography is federally regulated which states 18 as the legal age. Age of consent in my state is 16, but it only counts for your partner being under 21. Once they're over 21 it's, once again considered illegal. Who cares anyway, no one's verifying your age on the internet. I'm 25 and I've been "over 18" since I was 13 years old, yo.
Yeah, I've been "over 18" since I was 13 too, but I still find it funny tbh. It's like, I can do adult natured things and yet.Ah, well, 18 is only a year away for me, so it's not like I'm complaining much
Coming back from earlier: I have a friend who has been receiving hate and also had a message on tumblr from Aisha herself that just said "you're wrong". I was just saying that I admire your ability to stay passive, but I am still frustrated. But as a member of the LGBTQQIAP community, it's frustrating when people pull the "I'm an ally" card without understanding how they've offended you. I'm angry because, like always, my feelings are being ignored by a majority group. It feels awful.
I’m really sorry that people are reacting like this. I don’t understand why wanting better representation for female and queer characters gets us accused of hating male and straight characters.Â
Being an ally doesn’t make you a perfect ally, like being someone’s friend doesn’t mean you always do right by them. Allyship and friendship are constantly evolving processes. If a friend tells you you did something that upset them and you tell them they’re wrong, how good of a friend are you, really? If you’re offended by something, no one can tell you that you’re wrong, even if they don’t understand why you’re offended. It’s impossible for others to decide for you how you feel about things.Â
I hope I’ve been more assertive than passive. I stand by what I wrote, and I’ll defend it. The things that Jared and Aisha said were problematic, (i.e. sexist, transphobic, and queerphobic) and indicative of my criticisms of Supernatural. It doesn’t matter that Aisha thinks I’m wrong. The issues matter, and they need to be talked about.Â
I can't believe Aisha went out of her way to call you out, I'm so sorry. That was a super shitty thing to do. I thought all your points were extremely valid and I've been frustrated with this whole debacle from the start. I admire you for handling it so well though, I'd be mad as hell. I've lost every ounce of respect I ever had for that woman. I don't think she understands the concept of feminism very well, especially after headlining the Ubisoft panel with the Assassin's Creed scandal.
Thank you for your support, but I’m not mad at Aisha for tweeting about my article. Part of it was about her- she had every right to respond. I didn’t like or agree with her response, BUT she has told people to back off from harassing me and I appreciate that. That said, it hasn’t been bad. People who disagree with me have tweeted or messaged me, and I’ve only seen one that was actually threatening. So I really am okay. I don’t need people jumping to my defense. I’d rather we talk about the issues, rather than the specific people involved.Â
But, if you’re angry, you’re entitled to your anger and I respect that.Â
From what I know of Aisha, she’s a cool person, and I told her that. I have zero bad feelings toward her. It’s okay if you feel differently.
I don’t know about Assassin’s Creed or what happened at the Ubisoft panel, so I can’t comment on that.Â
