I didn’t macaron choice when I finished this in one sitting. 😋 @fuwafuwapancakes’ gluten-free Fatcarons are made with an almond base and filled with a flavoured buttercream. They come in a variety of flavours including creme brûlée, strawberry, raspberry, matcha, chocolate and blueberry. https://www.torontodessert.com/
From a tiny sprout in a cup two years ago, to a few roots moved in-ground last spring, to this 1.8 m row of plants now. The balloon berry is currently my favorite plant from my berry garden. And they spread so fast. I’ve been plucking stray sprouts all spring, trying to keep it in a somewhat tidy row, but I think I’ll start a second one if it keeps putting out any more new shoots.
The Japanese strawberry is growing so fast: in two months it went from barely visible in a tiny cup, to overflowing a 10 L pot.Â
You can see some of the flowers on it starting to turn into berries.
Strawberry raspberry or Japanese raspberry or balloon berry, however you want to call it. First time growing it and it’s such an interesting plant. When I got it a month ago there were only a few buds coming out of the soil, I didn’t think it will do very well, but it’s grown so much and even has a few flower buds!

The only plants from the big order I received a while ago that I planted in pots (you can see how much they’ve grown since then). Everything else went in the garden or orchard. The bay and sage will permanently remain in pots because they’ll need to spend the winter inside. The strawberry raspberry will probably stay like this this year, it’s my first time growing it and I wanted to be able to observe it better. And the kiwi, I just cannot decide where to plant it.
