Rebeka and I spent some time in Őrség, which is a rural area at the border of Hungary, next to Austria and Slovenia. This land is mostly unchanged for the past centuries and it is full of kind people, traditional restaurants, mushrooms and beautiful old buildings. We took our chance to draw on the spot, because it's always fun to capture interesting architecture! So here is the last remaining Kástu with two floors which is still on the very spot where it was built. It was used to store all sorts of edible goods during winter season.

5/10.2018 - a creative weekend getaway on samsø

After all, can any modern material beat the wonderful thatched roof? I am drawn to them like a moth to a candle. They convey a sense of homeliness and natural softness which is impossible to get in modern materials. Have a look at these examples. Some of them have already been covered as individual projects in earlier posts.
