Those who have helped you in the past
Those who go on their knees and pray for you

If you engage them in battle, you are fighting from a position of disadvantage.
The word anointed simply means chosen, set apart, and empowered by God for a purpose.
The emphasis is important — empowered by God for a purpose.
So the anointed ones are people whom God has assigned, backed, or is working through.
They are not necessarily perfect people… but they are people carrying divine backing.
An anointed person usually has one or more of these:
A divine assignment or calling
Spiritual authority or influence
God's protection over their life
Grace that produces unusual results
A voice God uses to guide or correct others
They may be pastors or prophets.
They may be parents praying for their children.
They may be mentors assigned to your life.
They may be leaders chosen for a season.
They may even be someone quietly interceding for you without your knowledge.
Anointing is not about title — it is about divine backing.
Sometimes the anointed are ordinary people with divine assignment…
No rank.
No title.
Maybe no social status.
Yet heavily backed.
David understood this mystery.
He refused to fight Saul even when Saul was wrong.
He said, I will not touch the Lord’s anointed.
David understood something deeper — you don’t fight someone God is still dealing with.
And that dealing could be in favour of the person or against the person.
Either way… it is best to stay out of the dealing.
The initial statement about the three sets of people not to offend is powerful because it reveals three layers of spiritual disadvantage:
Those who helped you — you fight gratitude
Those who pray for you — you fight intercession
Those who are anointed — you fight divine backing
That is why it becomes a losing battle.
But wisdom also demands balance.
Being anointed does not mean: They are always right
They cannot make mistakes
They should control you
You must tolerate abuse
It only means — don’t fight them.
Disengage respectfully if necessary.
David did not fight Saul.
He stepped away… and let God handle it.
That is wisdom.
In one sentence:
The anointed ones are people God is actively backing — fighting them is fighting against the hand supporting them.
And in all things… wisdom is the principal thing.
