If you know me irl you probably know about this beast of a project I took on in May of ‘25. Prior to this I had only knitted a pair of socks and half a scarf. I’m about to enter it in a small town festival craft fair next week so wish her luck!

I've dropped every other WIP I have for this and couldn't be happier
Finally, a finished pair of socks! These are the Quetzalcoatlus socks, featuring several flying azhdarchid pterosaurs and one standing on a pile of rocks. Yarn is Drops Nord. Heel is an 'afterthought' style heel (peasant heel?) but I had two strands of the orange yarn so it wasn't weaker than the rest of the sock.
Doing some stranded colourwork. Basic cowl pattern is from Pacific Knit Co’s Doodle Directory book, pattern is the 2024 Flock Festival Doodle. I’m using yarns from Yarnaceous Fibers that were park of the special Flock Festival Doodle dye pack. I ended up sizing down the needles by a 1/4 of the recommend size as my naturally tight tension tends to loosen with stranded colourwork, plus the yarn is springy.

Okay so... I picked up another electronic knitting machine, because the one I already had *won't stop beeping*, and there's no way to make it shut up short of de-soldering the beeper from the circuit board (tempting, but I'm not sure it's fully functioning if something's making it beep like that). Anyway, I thought I'd test out the new one by making a hat. Hats are always nice, and if they're a little big or small - well, they'll fit somebody.
Check out this historic artifact that I found in the section of its memory for user uploads!

These romantic valentine socks are worked cuff-down starting with 2x2 rib, followed by a colourwork leg. The short row heel is knit in one colour, followed by the colourwork foot. The toe is finished in one colour and grafted together using a Kitchener stitch.
