Non scale victory: I went into a store and found pants that fit in the regular size section. It was the largest size, but still. I bought two pairs.
so many of the clothing-related thin privileges seem more like 'average clothing size privileges.' of course clothing stores aren't going to stock unusual sizes that don't sell. it sucks, i know (watch me try to find bras or pants that fit sometime), but comparing it to oppression is an overreaction
It's stupid. They also don't seem to get the concept of sale and why they might be sold out in larger sizes. Also, can we talk about the term "straight sizes"? Like seriously? What, are there gay, lesbian, trans, ect. sizes as well? It seems like these thin privilege warriors are determined to start some sort of war between themselves and the rest of the population. Making up terms just to seem more "oppressed" is hella shady.G'sPost
