I'm too lazy to have a playlist. I listen to random music and my memory about titles and authors is so bad that it drives me completely nuts.
So this probably is a very queer list, a bit gruesome 👀 👀 👀 somehow fanfic related:
1. Kiss the girl, from the Little Mermaid soundtrack
Because this is the anthem of shipping and fits perfectly J/B, both.
Fav line? “The music play, do what the music say, you got to kiss the girl, you’ve got to kiss the girl, oh don’t you wanna kiss the girl, you’ve got to kiss the girl, go and kiss the girl.”
2. Guerra, guerra! from Norma, Bellini
Because that’s the song that Barbrey Dustin will perform from the top of the broken tower during the Battle of Winterfell. Warning: from 1:50!!!!
Fav line? “Slaughter, slaughter, extermination and vengeance.”
3. Snow (Hey-oh), Red Hot Chili Peppers
Because I find it strangely comforting after an angsty fic.
Fav line? “The more I see, the less I know, the more I like to let it go.”
4. Let it snow, arrangement by Michael Bublé
Because it’s adorable and when I read the fic Le Tits Now by @tall-wolf-of-tarth my neurons read Let It Snow, so Jaime’s sweater caught me off-guard.
Fav line? “And I’ve brought some corn to popping.” Popcorn = ❤️
5. La Primavera, Vivaldi
Because it’s spring and words flow easily with it playing. Try it.
6. Photograph, Ed Sheeran.
Because it’s sweet, and it often comes in my mind when I stumble in a lovely first kiss/declaration kiss like What matters more than his words by @rosenlily-aka-choconut .
Fav line? “So you can keep me, inside the pocket of your ripped jeans.”
7. Rata de dos patas, Paquita La Del Barrio
Because I was unaware of the existence of this classico before reading Two-legged rat by Weboury. A funny, absolutely cute fic, but I won’t say more, go and read it.
Fav line? “Adefesio mal echo.” I do refuse to translate it.
8. Ottocento, Fabrizio FABER De André
Because FABER was a monster, a damn genius, and I crave for a totally crazy, funny, choral, melancholic and absurdly sad/bad/anti-hypocrital fic. WARNING: give this song more than a chance and you we will never get rid of it.
Fav line? “Maschi, femmine e cantanti” i.e. “Males, females and singers.” Yep.
9. La foule, Edith Piaf
Because I listen to it while editing/re-writing :( a WIP
Fav line? “Entrainés par la foule, qui s’elance and qui dance, une folle farandole, nos deux mains restent soudées.” more or less “dragged by the crowd, which launches herself forward and dances a crazy farandole, out two hands stay blended into one.” Awwww..
10. Te possino dà tante cortellate, stornello romano, in the amazing Martini/Berté improvisation
Because there are nice anons which cause troubles even to the kindest of fanfic artists/writers/readers with stalking messages etc.
Fav line? Choosing is impossible, this stornello begins with a fierce invective and ends with pure, heart-breaking poetry, so here’s just the intro: “Te possino dà tante cortellate, pe quante messe ha detto l’Arciprete” or “May they give you as many stabs as many Masses the Archpriest said.”
Consider yourself tagged, please, and help me filling the abyss of my ignorance about music :)
