I know hashtags are more of a Twitter thing but this is serious. There’s protests today, December 7th, nationwide at Verizon stores. This is a very important matter that will not only impact the lives of US citizens, but could very easily spread worldwide if other countries try to mess with whatever Internet system is in place in their respective countries.Â
If you live in the US and can make it to a protest, I urge you to go. If not, there’s plenty of websites and articles with information on how to make an impact on the FCC’s decision. They’re voting on this in 7 days. (December 14th) Some things you can do to help the cause and keep net neutrality are contacting your Senators and state representatives, donating money to organizations such as Battle for the Net and Free Press.
In case you don’t know what’s going on, here’s a video that explains it very well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsyzP5hejxIÂ
We still have a chance to stop this if we work together.
