Is there ANYTHING that you are afraid of? Is there a certain SITUATION that has led you to have these fears? Hi, my name is not really Sage Hart. She is only my secret blogger name. This is actually my very first blog and I decided to make a blog so that I could be able to write about my thoughts and feeling whenever I have nobody to share them with. Well, today I am going to blog about fears especially mine. I fear public speaking. I bet that we all get nervous whenever we stand in front of people. We might be a bit shake-y and sweaty when we need to speak a-loud among a crowd. I think that its something that is pretty normal for us to feel. In my case, it just got worse when I was in my Second year in High School. At that moment, i had some new classmates and most of them are BOYS. I never really fancied having friends that are boys. I don't really know but I just seemed to have a small amount of friends that are boys. Anyways, these new boy classmates that I had were pretty much just laughing around and doing what boys do like messing around and stuff. Little did I know that I was actually the one that they were laughing about. Since I was little, I had this habit with my eyes. It's basically somewhat like twitching. I am sort of "nearsighted" and at that time I really did not want to have a pair of glasses so I just tend to always twitch my eyes whenever I can't see clearly. As time went on, I still had no idea that my classmates, who I wasn't really close with nor did they ever talked to me that much, made my habit a laughing stock and even went on calling me such horrid names and if you think they end it there, well they absolutely did not. They continued the "Bullying" by calling those horrid names when I was upfront for class presentations. That was the time I knew that they were pointing those names at me and that carried on for every presentation I made as if everything I say is wrong and is ridiculous. At times I cried because they just come and talk to me just to tease me. That went for about 2 years because I never had the guts to stand up for myself. Its a good thing that my best friends were always there when I needed them. They always tell me to brush them off. Still my fear of publish speaking stayed.
One day I actually was able to talk to one of the boys and he was really nice. He told me to not let the other boys' teasing get to me. He said that they even tease him and he is their mate. He said that that's just the way they are. I just told him, "Yeah, maybe, I guess". At some time, in my my last year in high school THOSE SET OF BOYS who were bullying me became my friends. I guess instead of letting them get to me, I just laughed it off. They eventually grew tired of it and stopped. I supposed they didn't find it fun anymore because I stopped caring. The thing is even if I stepped up to them, I still brought my fear until now but I am doing my best to conquer them. What I learned is that 'You should not let fear run your life.' People are people and they may sometimes criticise you and say words that would put you down and at these point you need to remember these tips:
    1.  Always try to see the GOOD IN PEOPLE & at the same time be GOOD TO Â
PEOPLE even if at times their seem to be a bit cranky
    2.  Be BRAVE and remember that you are not alone
    3.  BELIEVE IN YOURSELF because it starts in you ( for others to believe, you
should first of all believe yourself )
If you had been into situations that scarred you deep, keep in mind that TIME is a HEALER.
Do what you love and love what you do. Do what makes you happy. Don't be afraid to take action so that you can reach your dream and get to where you wanna be as long as you are not stepping on anybody.
Feel free to share your stories in the comments below and tell me how you faced your fears. If you still haven't faced your fears then maybe we could face them together :)
