The ten commandments.

1. Thou shalt always pass to the left. This commandment shall forever be decreed the "left is law" law.

2. Thou shalt not torch the bowl. Light a corner to conserve the greens. 

3. Thou shalt always hit back those who smoke thou up. It's just good karma. 

4. Whoever contributed the most weed gets to hit the bowl first. 

5. The person who packed the bowl OR rolled the blunt/joint gets to go second. This is the only instance where it is acceptable to break the "left is law" law. 

6. Thou art responsible for thine lighter. Keep track of that shit. 

7. Always clear the bong. Always. And, if thou really can't, pass it along immediately with thine hand covering the top of the bong to preserve smoke. 

8. Thou must always attempt to fix a canoeing joint. If the joint is completely  unsalvageable, pack it in a bowl. And learn how to smoke and roll properly!

9. Thou shalt take one hit and pass it along as quickly as possible. Thou may take two hits if it is thine weed.

I. Thou shalt not be a mooch.

II. Thou shalt not bogart the joint.

III. Thou shalt slobber all over the girlfriend, not the bowl.

(heads up fellas: most of us are NOT into being slobbered on)

IV. Thou shalt buy thy neighbor a new bong to replace the one you broke.

V. Thou shalt be honest about having a cold sore.

VI. Thou shalt offer a hit to thy neighbor at a concert.

VII. Thou shalt not steal lighters.

VIII. Thou shalt clean up immediately after spilling bong water.

IX. Thou shalt never narc.
