In my warriors fan story: The Fallen Reprisal, the lake is being threatened by a vengeful spirit, the former Shadowclan deputy Froststorm. Back when he was alive he showed promise as a future leader to the struggling Clan. But Grayfoot suffered omens warning him that Froststorm would spend his nine lives filling the lake with blood. He confides in his sister and the littermates decide that they can’t let ShadowClan be ruled by a tyrant like their ancestors did so many seasons ago. But Stonelight, once Froststorm’s mate, knows he would never back down from leadership. So when Grayfoot takes the deputy to the moonpool, Stonelight is already there, ready to prevent this fight with tooth and claw. The battle is a vicious one but Stonelight wins with a bite to Froststorm’s throat, his blood spilling into the moonpool. With the threat dealt with the two swear secrecy and vow to pick up the pieces of their Clan. Ubknowest to them their was a witness to the murder, and Froststorm’s spirit is not one that will Rest In Peace.
