but uhm. yeah they're. they blend into the sand. they have poison that is a neon color which already rings alarm bells in any animals mind but also ooh pretty blue how deadly is the poison?
so firstly they are quite sharp and they can dig through clothing and shoes, they're not bendable once they're like this btw they're like boners. secondly uh. they're the most venomous fish known. they live in my home country of Indonesia and even though we do eat them cause their venom breaks down in heat. lets just say necrosis, heart attacks, inflammation as a base symptom, muscle paralysis, seizures, and damage to the cardiovascular system and etc etc. if you do get stung. as in if you accidentally step on them while they're camouflaging on the ocean floor. where they look like stone.

Stonefish are the most venomous fish known; stings can be fatal to humans. Most stonefish stings occur as a result of stepping on the creature which forces venom into the foot, while it is less common for the fish to sting when it is picked up. Stonefish stings can occur on the beach, not just in the water, since stonefish can survive out of the water for up to 24 hours. They are not easily seen as they look similar to rocks or coral.
