The white marble veining seen here (zoom in) reveals how we lay out the cuts so a singular massive slab of Brazilian soap stone can fold around to create the entire exterior of our Relief Stone Cabinet. The parts are all cut by waterjet to allow for a tight cut sheet and interlocking hinges. We then install custom brass and stainless steel hardware to ensure the doors open effortlessly. Before assembly, each panel is milled out by a CNC router to remove unnecessary weight while the remaining ribs retain each panels strength and create the distinct “relief” pattern. NEWSFLASH!! We are excited to announce that this piece as well as our entire #qualitiesofmaterial collection is now available directly through us allowing us to make them more accessible to those interested in living with them! 📷 @brianwferry #reliefstonecabinet #qualitiesofmaterial #fortstandard #limitededition #stonecabinet
