How many times have you watched the PP movies to help with your writing? Whether itd be about background, scenes, character personality, or stuff Every time I'm watching it I feel like I'm noticing a little something new.
If I’m referencing a specific scene or moment, especially if there’s dialogue involved, I go back and watch that scene. I’m too paranoid about getting something wrong. Like when I basically redid the demo scene with Beca and Emily, but had Chloe in there. I was constantly playing the scene back to make sure everything was right. To make sure I had that “oh okay, Emily points to the mic when she says that” down and could describe their expressions and mannerisms to the best of my ability. The first time I wrote a scene in the living room/kitchen, I went back and watched so that I didn’t make any glaring errors (though I’m sure there are some, I can’t catch everything and I didn’t have a download of the film when I started writing it.)
As for character personality, I don’t generally go back and watch just for that. If I can’t hear a character saying it in my head, chances are I don’t think they’d say it, so there’s no need to go back and watch, you know? But every time I do watch Pitch Perfect 2 now, I feel like I’m always unconsciously looking for stuff just in case it pertains to the fic. And I do notice new stuff each time too, things that I can use or might be useful to know. Just in case. ;)
This became quite long-winded. I apologise.
