Now That I Found You || Andrea & Daryl || @stoicbow
Andrea had run after the taillights until the walkers forced her to go off in another direction. She didn't know where she was running, but she knew she had to keep moving. It was keep moving or let herself be torn apart by the walkers. She wanted to scream and cry, but she had to push those feelings into something more and let it fuel her to keep her legs moving throughout the woods.
She didn't know how long she'd been moving. All she knew was that that it went from dark to light. There was nowhere to hide to keep the walkers from getting to her so it was her only choice. She hoped that she was headed in the direction of the road or the town or somewhere. Maybe then she could find the others. They wouldn't leave her. That was the only thing that kept her moving now. She knew they'd come back for her. They had to.
Her throat was burning from not having anything to drink and her feet felt as if they were going to fall off. Everything was starting to go numb. Her hands shook the last time a walker had gotten close enough, and she'd had to use the knife to take one out, but there was always another walker or two to take its place.
She was about to give up when the highway came into view just atop the hill she had been starting to climb. She managed to crawl to the top and could see that the walkers were struggling with the incline and that was the only thing that saved her. It wasn't the traffic snarl so there weren't any cars for her to hide in or behind. She still had to keep moving, but she had to hope that if she stayed on the road one of the others would find her.
