St John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta, Malta, was built by the Order of St. John between 1573 and 1578. The name refers to its status as an alternate to the archbishop's cathedral at Mdina.

Yesterday, we got to see Saint John’s Co-Cathedral in Valetta. One of the most ornate cathedrals either of us had ever seen! It was fascinating learning about the history of this magnificent and sacred work of art! The entire floor of the cathedral is filled with ornate marble tombstones of the many knights who were laid to rest there.
