Stitching portraits on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Commissioned by Super Slow Way, I am cycling along the tow path, finding places to set up and stitch portraits of random passers by- with a little pedal power of course. As I stitch, I listen to the local's stories, living near the canal and connections to the cotton mill industry which was so prevalent here. The portraits will be exhibited in Burnley on the 30th September and then posted back to the people after the show. I have three more days cycling along the 22 mile stretch, perhaps I can stitch you along the canal?
