From "Mission on Earth" in Journey into Mystery #22, February 1955. Pencils by Art Peddy.
Info from @grandcomicsdatabase
Its not about finding meaning in life. It’s about substance. Sex has substance. Having a job has substance. Some jobs have more substance. My job is pleasantly heavy, like a maroon, gilded briefcase. Like the tap-tap of high heeled shoes on marble. Stories have substance. Mental illness has the most substance. Psychoses more than neuroses. A day like this has some substance. Sundays have either no substance or too much. Physical attractiveness has a lot of substance. When it comes to travel, trains have the most substance, although all modes of travel have their share. Walls have no substance. Some roads do. Homes have substance, but not our own. Language? It defies itself, tries to eat its own tail. Goes beyond substance. Beyond you and me but not beyond the sky. Of all things that have little to no substance, the self has the least.
Ember in the Ashes
It is the night before the great battle. In the quiet of the teeming forest, Laia and Elias are in the Soul Catcher's cabin.
"You are my temple..... You are my priest..... You are my prayer..... You are my release."
What transpires in between and follows afterwards is one of the most erotic pieces I've ever experienced.
I keep thinking about Laia of Serra and Elias Veturius, counter-melodies to each other. I don't want their story to stop. I want them to have a long and wonderful life together. I was never happier when they finally got their chance. They will remain one of my favourite couples in literature throughout life.
Also, my dreams, in this regard, are not so different from Laia's...
Thank you so much, Sabaa Tahir.

Just watched a live Instagram video by Lana Parrilla from 4:30 to 5:20AM in the early morning, after staying up all night. Took a screenshot of this poem that she shared with us. She's right. It is never too late.
