Marwehn’s world stopped spinning for a second. The eyes she was looking in, were the most beautiful pair she had ever seen.
Marwehn was hunting when she heard the Aimnatosh growling. The bloodthirsty creation that wanders the forests to search for lost souls sounded hungry. The Aimnatosh was an enormous beast with fangs and skin as thick as a human hand. Just as Marwehn gave up the hope of coming home, she discovered the abandoned house in the middle of the forest. soft music came from the house. creepy, cold music. Marwehn stood still for a moment. She had to choose between the deadly creature and the creepy music. Slowly she approached the house. The front door was unlocked. It creaked when she opened it. The music stopped, and in the hallway appeared a girl who was wearing green overalls with a white blouse underneath. The girl walked upstairs without looking at Marwehn. Marwehn spotted the piano and without thinking she walked towards it. She took the bench and set it a little higher. She opened the cap of the piano and started playing the creepy song she heard the girl play. Suddenly she heard the girl singing. The song sent shivers down her spine, and Marwehn almost stopped playing. She heard the girl slowly approaching. Marwehn slowly turned her head and in an instant she recognised the girl. Adalyn.
Marwehn was haunted in her dreams with that noise. The little girl, Adalyn, was being punished for being mean to her father. That’s what her father, King Twon had told her. Marwehn almost couldn’t believe him. The girl was almost as old as Marwehn, and she cried her eyes out. Adalyn didn’t scream. King Twon grinned as if the girl was one of his biggest enemies. Marwehn was forced to watch. First the beheading of the fragile old man, and now the whipping of his little daughter. Marwehn felt as if every slash with the whip could kill the girl. Finally, after thirty slashes, her father ordered the girl to go home. Marwehn had never cried for someone else before, but now she did.
