Lighthouse | | Volkner & Steven
"Another lighthouse?" Looking up at the tall structure Volkner realized that to reach the top there would be a long, long flight of stairs to climb. "Can't believe I agreed to help." Grimacing as he steeled himself for the climb, he reasoned that the least he could do was put his knowledge to use and help repair faulty mechanics.
The elevator was a welcome sight, and he tucked his gloves into a back pocket before stabbing the button indicating up. Nothing. Sighing he realized that the structure had no power, and probably needed a lot of work. No other options left, Volkner began to take the stairs, slowly making his way up to the top of the lighthouse. The spiraling staircase had no light, so with much cursing and a few missed steps, he finally made it to the top of the spire. The upper level of the lighthouse was completely enclosed in glass, offering a sweeping view of Olivine City and the surrounding sea. However, rather than brightly illuminate the floor, an overcast sky offered only a dim light. Throwing open one of the large glass panels, Volkner allowed himself a quick look around on the deck before beginning work.
The large signal beam had a control box near its base, and he made quick work of opening it and examining the circuits and wires. Tugging his gloves out of his pocket, Volkner was about to begin checking for stray wires when he realized. "I lost one." Narrowing his eyes slightly he frowned. "Stairs."
