The Doctor said the blindness was temporary. Another 48 hours and he would be back to normal. For now they had to be careful and most importantly Steven had to stay in the TARDIS. The Doctor was out, helping the people while his companions were in quarantine in his “trans-dimensional curative cabinet.” Which left Steven and Dodo with time to kill and privacy.
Steven had selected a record to put on, only slightly more difficult than he imagined. It was rather interesting, pulling a record at random to put on, but rather fun. The Beatles’ last album, Let It Be, played as Steven moved to sit on Dodo’s bed again. His hands reached out first, making sure he wasn’t sitting on her or too close to the end of the bed. They moved up, finding her leg, a hand snaking up under her skirt to her thigh. His other hand found her arm, moving up to her shoulder, her neck, her face, cupping her cheek. His fingers traced over her chin, her lips, her nose, up the bridge to her eyebrows and sweeping her hair from her face before kissing her.
