peter hale is a police lieutenant, once known as a respected and cool cop who made a number of high-profile arrests, and now he is just a drunkard, pining for his missing daughter and having lost his faith. peter's favorite pastime from monday to sunday is a bottle of daniels and russian roulette in the evening, rumination instead of work during the day. that was until one day peter was sent to investigate a case of deviants, and he accidentally caught a hooligan decorating the walls with provocative graffiti.. "h-hi... i'm stiles. uh. just a human", that's how the big lie began. stiles is not a human. he's a deviant. one of the first. will peter understand who he took in?
ps; i just want an au like that, pleeease. i want malia to disappear, and peter would refuse to believe she was dead, but he knew that this was what happened, with a 99.9% probability. peter was never an alcoholic, but the feeling of emptiness after losing a child was so strong that peter began to drown it in booze - first with draft beer, then with whiskey, sometimes with vodka. co-workers at work, unaware of peter's daughter, whom he never showed them, would laugh at the bags under the lieutenant's eyes, and he would tell his co-workers to fuck off, until everything around him stopped making sense.. and then stiles would burst into the life of a suicidal peter, not a person, but still so alive that peter would slowly begin to let go of the past and love the present, because now in his present there was again someone for whom it was worth living.
"Stiles" Peter said without looking up from the book. "Yeah?" said boy absently. "It's rude to stare, sweetheart. Shouldn't you be taking notes by any chance?" said werewolf with a smirk. And Stiles really should be taking those notes. Those very important notes. You know, for the pack? yeah. But he got distracted. Again. And who could blame him, really?

Stiles slides out of Peter’s arms and pulls Peter back towards his bedroom, peeling off his shirt as he goes. Peter pulls his own shirt off, and stares down at Stiles, running his eyes over his naked chest. What he thought were tattoos before are actually Lichtenberg figures that spread across his chest, over his shoulders, and down the tops of his arms.
Peter crawls over him and presses their naked chests together, craving skin on skin contact. A shock runs through him as he realizes that Stiles’s body is cold; not cold like someone who has been outside too long, but cold in the way that a flame is warm: constant and spreading. He looks down into Stiles’ eyes and sees the endless depths of ancient and unknown galaxies, and in that moment he knows that Stiles is both Stiles and something else entirely.
“What are you?” Peter breathes out the question like a prayer.
@meggie-stardust / Wreck wrote an INCREDIBLE fic for the Steter Mini Bang 2022 and I was lucky enough to partner with her on my first fanwork for both the fandom and the pairing. I had SO MANY RESERVATIONS about joining in but I’m so happy I did, and her support was unwavering 💕

[ART] break me, shake me, devastate me
For the @steter-bang I was the Team Red partner for @bwtch, who put Stiles in a Criminal Minds-type job, and so I immediately decided that I wanted to create a Criminal Minds style opening for Stiles and Peter to go along with the fic. Generally my participation in fandom is as a writer, so this pushed me out of my comfort zone in a really fun way.
That was how Stiles ended up in Moonshine, the largest werewolf club in NoHo, on a Saturday night with his BAU team all dressed in their best casual clothes and positioned at key points to ensure his safety. He lingered at the bar, trailing his long finger around the rim of his martini glass. He kept his eyes wide, trying to embody the Bambi look everyone—especially Erica Reyes—told him that he embodied. He caught several people looking at him with predatory hunger, especially when he licked the salt off of his fingers, but he saw no flashes of their eyes or signs of wolfing out. It was his theory that their ‘wolf would have trouble with control. - "break me, shake me, devastate me" by unwitchcraft
